Working together - Guidelines

Welcome, dear adventurer and seeker of self-innovation! Thank you for taking the time to read through these collaboration guidelines before contacting me, as this means that I can spend more time helping clients like you. So, let's dive in!

How to start the process of working together?

Hey there! I'm always excited to hear from you! When you reach out, make sure to include a quick intro about yourself - name, age, location & time zone - and share the overview of your giftedness journey so far. It's all about context! Please do fill me in on your goals too, like whether you're interested in coaching, somatic therapy, or the Self-Innovation Program, and what you're hoping to get out of our work together. Keep it short and sweet - 1 page tops - but don't hold back on any details where needed! Can't wait to hear from you.

What client profile do you work with?

I work with gifted and creative teens and adults. For us to achieve the most optimal outcome while staying within my area of expertise and what I’m legally allowed to offer, it's essential that you're in a stable emotional and psychological state. Please check out the Global Assessment of Functioning Scale. My services are tailored to individuals who self-rate between 61-100.

If you feel like you don't fit within these brackets, don't worry, there are amazing professionals to work with - it just won’t be me! I would encourage seeking support from a qualified psychotherapist or crisis professional in your area.

Where do sessions take place?

My practice is entirely virtual, which means anyone can benefit from it! We'll meet over Zoom, and I'll provide you with a link before our first meeting. If you choose to continue working with me, the link will remain the same.

Can I record the sessions?

Sorry about that! Recording isn't allowed during our session. But don't sweat it, I'll make sure to give you plenty of time to take notes so you don't miss a thing.

Can I email you in-between sessions?

As much as I would love to be available all the time, I receive a high volume of emails and won't be able to respond to them between sessions. Instead, I recommend jotting down your thoughts and questions and bringing them to our next meeting. However, if you have any supporting material you'd like to share before our session for context, you can of course send them over via email.

Is it OK to “feel like this” while working with you?

It's essential for us to maintain a healthy professional dynamic in our relationship. It's totally natural to feel a strong connection with someone who is guiding you in this type of work. However, if you find yourself wanting to call or text me outside of our sessions, if you feel that I have an obligation to help you outside of our sessions, or you want to reach out to me for crisis support - please take note and discuss them with me in-session. These may be signs of dependence and/or possibly you needing additional professional support in a capacity that I don’t offer.

What languages do you offer your services in?

My native language is Dutch, but I primarily work in English. All of my group work takes place in English, however my 1:1 coaching and somatic therapy sessions can also be provided in Dutch.

What is your cancellation policy?

I understand that life happens, and exceptionally, you may need to reschedule or cancel a session. However, please do so at least 48 hours before our meeting. If you cancel after this period, I'll have to charge you the full amount (unless you have a true emergency).

Are your services covered by insurances?

Currently, my services are not covered by most insurances. This is a conscious choice, as that's what allows me to get really creative and tailor my approach to your specific needs.

Are you offering psychotherapy?

No, I don’t offer psychotherapy. Psychotherapy is a talk therapy that focuses on exploring and understanding the thoughts, feelings, and behaviors of a person, and how they relate to their past experiences and current life circumstances. The goal of psychotherapy is to help individuals gain insight, develop coping strategies, and make positive changes in their lives.

I offer somatic therapy, which is an approach that recognizes the importance of the mind-body connection. It focuses on identifying and addressing physical sensations, emotions, and patterns of behavior that may be stored in the body, and that contribute to emotional distress or physical ailments. Through somatic healing practices, individuals can learn to regulate their nervous system, process past trauma, and cultivate greater awareness and self-compassion.

What are your prices?

  • Giftedness coaching costs CHF 150.00 per hour, with sessions usually lasting between 60 and 90 minutes.

  • Somatic healing costs CHF 190.00 per 90-minute session. A minimum amount of 6 sessions is recommended.

  • 12-week 1:1 Self-Innovation Program costs CHF 1950.00. This includes 12 x 1:1 sessions (4x coaching of 60 min, 2x workshop of 90 min, 6x somatic therapy of 90 min)

  • Group session costs depend on the topic and optimal amount of participants for those type of sessions. Costs will be calculated fit for purpose & announced with the offering itself.

How can I pay you?

There’s no need to stress about rushing to pay me right after our session - you have 10 days to take care of it. An installment plan is accepted only for my Redesign Yourself Program. If you need an invoice for your records, or if you're looking to get reimbursed by someone else, just give me a heads up and I'll take care of it for you.

  • For European clients, I accept Wise, Paypal and bank transfer.

  • For International clients outside of Europe, I accept Wise and Paypal.
